Cabanas Ixchel are located on the beach in the small village of Puerto Morelos, half way between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Our little oasis is a palm filled, tropical garden, sitting on the ocean, with sand, sun, and sea the main attractions. We maintain an intimate and relaxing atmosphere by using oil lamps and candles for illumination, and the natural ocean breezes to keep us cool and refreshed. Nestled amongst the more traditional developments in town, our island of coconut palms, colorful bougainvillea and tropical flowers is truly a world apart. Modern bathroom and shower facilities, hammocks, and beach chairs round out the comfort and convenience of our home on the sea. There is a beach club adjacent to Cabanas Ixchel, with excellent food and drinks available for other times of the day should you choose, or we can direct you to the many excellent restaurants in town.
